I was going to post it elsewhere, but I'll put it here. I bought a Dragonfly 5 just before GS8 . That's where it quits OTW during it's 3rd or 4th use. . Without my turning it on, it would turn itself on and start to boot up to the Dragonfly logo and then shut down, only to start booting up all over again in an endless loop.
I contacted Ray Marine for instructions on repair under warranty. They state that an RMA is not needed and while including a receipt is recommended it is not necessary. I looked around and could not find the receipt, so I sent it back without one.
It took about two weeks or so to get it back (last week). The packing slip said, they confirmed the problem and stated that they had replaced the transducer. Have not had a chance to test it yet. Just want to say I am pleased with the prompt, hassle free repair service.
I did have some issues with the FF, but that may have been the learning curve and/ or the transducer fault. I'll post later with my impressions once I get it OTW more. It definitely requires a 7A battery. I was doing fine (2+ days) using a 4 Amp on my Lowrance Elite 4, but that big bright screen does seem to suck up a lot more power.

I own one. I was using a Cabelas 12v 8ah battery. Got about 10 hours runtime at full brightness.
I just changed to a 12v 9ah Deep cycle battery and should get an extra 1.5 hours or so.

So dude,
Do you download this directly onto your PC or are those pics you took with a camera and posted here??
They are incredibly clear.
And I just like saying 'dude', dude.

Most unit brands will allow the user to capture screen shots & transfer to a Micro SD or SD card.  You can usually upload/download waypoints, routes, trails, images, etc this way too.  How do you think I was able to steal view Pat's "flattie" spots.   :smt003
