I have seen that when you all look at a marine forecast you all go to the NOAA to get your information.... well for the life of me I cannot find the area where it gives a marine forecast. i keep getting normal weather forecasts and it is getting really annoying. i just want the ability to quickly see what an area is expecting. i know it is easy to do but when you don't know whee to look it gets frustrating really fast. can anyone link me to a marine report... or something where i can click a buoy or something. I know someone out there knows...

I would suggest using the search function at the top. You'll find everyone's flavors

1) Type in the name of the nearest town, and state.
2) Scroll around the map until you find the body of water you want.
3) Double click on that body of water and you will see the green forecast window covering it.

For example, to check the weather at Timber Cove:
1) Enter "jenner, CA".
2) Scroll Northwest until I see Timber Cove.
3) Double click on the water at Timber Cove.

Go to http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mtr/
Click on the ocean area you want and you'll get the marine forecast for that area. there is a box where you can move up or down to go farther north, say.
Also check the Buoy reports which are real time.
Also search for webcams which can show the exact conditions.

Here is a point and click link to the area arounf Stillwater Cove north.

http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=38.54816542304656&lon=-123.3160400390625&site=mtr&unit=0&lg=en&FcstType=marine

Once here you are in Point and Click mode so anywhere on the map you ckick you will get a forecast for that specific area, (a square mile box I think).

The map is moveable and expandable so you can see and pick any point you want, marine or land.

The point forcasts don't work right now for marine areas north of Pt Arena, it defaults to a wide area forecast.

General fishing tips has a wealth of knowledge. There's even an area where people post their favorite tide/weather charts.  :smt002
