A coworker told me that his farther would go to Rock Creek Lake and fish for trout and hand pick crawdads.

Has anyone fished this place before?

This is a video I found on Rock Creek Lake.

The Rock Creek Lake can be found on the Auburn USGS quad topo map. Rock Creek Lake is a reservoir in Placer County in the state of California. The latitude and longitude coordinates for this reservoir are 38.9474, -121.0902 and the altitude is 1444 feet (440 meters).

I don't know I'm guessing his dad fished it a few years ago. I'm not 100% sure on this. Topic came up at lunch today.

No Lake in the video, no creek in the aerial picture. Sounds like a Snipe hunting grounds.

As far as I know... It is Closed. Gates, no parking areas, ect... It will have some trout of the brown and rainbow type. This is one of several silt ponds on the canal that passes threw auburn. It is periodically drained. So not to many hold over fish and it is NOT stocked as far as I know. There are trout all threw the canal system and they do end up in there. I haven't seen anyone out there all the time I've lived here. Might do a drive by tonight on the way home 'cause now I'm curious :smt005 Will let you know... The video is of the canal as it leaves the fishing area. Over grown and off limits. No trespass signage posted.(stay out stay alive) PGE will and does prosecute... Halsey and the other lakes in the complex are NO BOAT... Keep looking :smt006
