If you have the high seat on your Ride I can loan you my low seat. You will be more comfortable with the low one. There will be plenty of guys out there I'm sure, so you should be fine safety wise. Just hang near everyone. I'm not going, so if you want my seat let me know soon so we can meet. We only have today and tomorrow to handle the hand off. I'm out of here Fri morn for two days on the Delta. My buddy did fine last year his first time in the salt on about the same forecast conditions. That was at OC also. My guess is decent for a few early hours then who knows.

I am tossing my low seat in my truck now. I am headed to the Sac area today. Call me if you want the seat. 916-202-2631

so with that short report being said how do you think that a newbie would fare?
lets put it this way, i live a lot closer to the coast, so i would drive out and look, but most likely i would just end up hanging out in camp having beers, food and laughs with a bunch of muggles, anything over 10knts is usually a no go for me, the swell isnt that bad but with the mixed and the wind waves, its going to be a washing machine, but noaa can be wrong, and it could totally flatten out, but you never know till you look, sorry thats all i can say, i would suggest hanging out closer to home and getting to know your boat better, kayaker first, fisherman second, cameron
yeah as much as i REALLY REALLY want to go to the salt i will most likely hold back or go somewhere else that is closer to home. just sucks because all tehse pictures really get me goin and make me want to partake in the bounty that the sea provides. i havent had some good fish in a long time.

Ya, you should probably hold off on going if the current forecast stays the same.

A lot of us live a lot closer, so we don't mind driving out there just to chill with our folks if we can't get out on the water.

I'm probably coming with my son, and won't even bring my yak.

yeah if it was closer i might. it just stinks i have to wait until nature will allow me to go. welp guess i will be putting more time in on the American River (as if that is even close in comparison) but at least i will have more time OTW. oh well. untill next time. I will eventually get to meet you guys...eventually.

What Cam said.  If I do make it, the kayak probably won't come off the truck.
