Moving from freshwater to the big blue ocean

Hi all -

I'm a recent inductee into the fishing world and, so far, have done mostly freshwater fishing from my stand-up paddleboard and a couple of party boat trips for rockfish and salmon out of Emeryville. I'm looking forward to taking my SUP out into the Pacific and fishing off of it.

a local fishmonger I know of pulled a 20# halibut from the coast off of Santa Cruz a few weeks back...from a paddleboard!
