6/2 Negro Bar - Lake Natoma F&C - self rescue

I'm down for both the self rescue and barbecue/potluck. I convinced my wife to get on a kayak for the first time. I'm hoping she likes it as much as I do. Is there anywhere to rent a kayak there, a Hobie preferably. 

She can take my Hobie out after we get done doing training if you can't get a rental.

   If your gonna do this,   then it might be best to dress as you would be in a real life event,  bogged down with your gear on.

Just found out they are having the rowing championship at lake Natoma fri-sun. So I am gonna change the location to Negro Bar on lake Natoma. When you enter park take a left and head over to the park area. We can launch from the beach if you don't have wheels you can borrow mine after I hit the beach.

So with the change I am probably gonna target trout first then go after bass

so is there some fishing to be had before hand and then the self rescue, because i dont even know what is in that lake to even fish for or what lures to have.

Trout early then bass before self rescue. If you have some rapalas or cast masters for trout. Senkos or robo worms for bass.

nope.. its a tough lake to fish, but there are some trout, koke (i think), bass, carp, bluegill/sunfish and catfish.. thats all i know of

well all the same. im excited to meet some of you all and get this critical skill down so i can feel a bit more comfortable out in water where i cant touch bottom lol.

I will be there at 7 when the park opens. Changes mind and I'm not gonna go after trout just bass. See ya all in the am
