That snake ain't full dead.  Look at it's body position while hanging out of that basses mouth.  It's not limp, it's wiggling!! 

I had an encounter with a baby rattler at Folsom last year.  Luckily my kayak is faster than that snake.  He lived and I lived.  Datant (sp?) on the water.  A truce.

Yea that's how we roll in Texas.  I don't know if I would have put it in the footwell, but I have always thought a live snake may be good bait.  I like snakes.
