Anyone have line x in the trucks?  How do you like it?  Where did you get it?

Thanks,
Nate

The best thing to ever happen in Bed coatings.

Very durable. I few times I thought for sure I'd ripped a gash, nary a scuff in the stuff.
It does lose the new shine color after a while and as it gets older it turns a chalk grey,
Still durable though.
Put a couple drain/weep holes in the front to drain it out, otherwise in heavy rain you'll get the makings of a redneck hottub.

Most auto parts places sell the stuff now for the "do-it-yourself" or a lot of auto body shops will spray it on too.

+1 and ya on the drain holes
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

If I were to ever get a new(er) truck I would skip it while I had the truck and apply it just before selling to give it that new and shiny "cared for" look  :smt044

I've got half a mind to throw a cinder block onto the bed and push it around.  Once you get that first scratch you won't fret over it anymore.

Never put that shit in your bed as far as I'm concerned. It looks great right after application then it looks like crap after awhile. It traps moisture that comes up from the holes for drainage in the bottom of the bed. The best thig isd a piece of cut plywood and a rubber mat over it. these you can take out and flush the dust and dirt away from the underneath. If you are ever going to shovel dirt or other stuff from your truck bed the spray on bed liner sucks.

I'm sure Craig is right.  I have four trucks and all of them are Rhino lined.  Got the dealer to handle it as part of the sale.  Guy in Salinas did it.  I'm happy with it and chose to go over the rail with it as my guys are hauling buckets in and out of the back. I like it but I'm sure it is not truly necessary.

I love it when you see the hard plastic liners out on the side of the freeway, classic.

To add a redundant layer of unneeded protection, there are beds mats in a few of the trucks too.

I put it in on my 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500hd. It looks great at first. As the years went by and I hauled more and more stuff, the liner has gotten chalk marks, scratch marks, fading to grey... etc... impossible to get out. It kinda looks ugly now. If you only care about the utility and not the eventual look, then it's okay. It's great for ppl who wants their truck bed to look nice but won't every load anything in the bed. Be careful when loading your yak into the bed... it'll scratch the bottom up real good.

My last truck had it, and it didn't work well for me.  I hauled lots of material in it, was always a pain to clean everything out (rock/sand/bark).  And X2 on watching your yak on it, as it will scratch the hell out of your boat.

Angle's Tundra has a Line X coating and its held up well, I dig it.  I have a heavy duty rubber mat  which has left black  marks on everything that gets drug accross it, it works great for non slip but all my surfboards and my kayak have black streaking on them, sucks.  That and the bed is scratched a ton from hauling materials.  When I looked into getting it coated the reviews all said that all bed coatings are not equal, go specificaly with the line-x brand.......that and don't do the home kit cause its got little to no uv protection and fails after a year or two.

Are you going to put a shell on the truck? Are you going to do some heavy gravel hauling? Are you going to be hauling vast amounts of anything that will mar your paint on the bed? I have had the same rubber mat from Kmart for almost twenty years and its still in great shape. I have always had a shell on so the uv rays have not compromised the quality of it. When I rinse the bed out its quick and easy. My opinion only. I have seen so many trucks that look like hell with the spray liner. Once you put it down, it's there forever.

I resurrected an old '93 F350 for the ranch. The bed looked *really* bad so I painted it with "Hercules" coating. It faded to a kind of grey/black over the next year, but was a lot better than the white, blue, red, rust  mess it started as. I've hauled heavy farm gear, rocks, lumber, etc ... and, while scarred, it's held up pretty well. And for the cost of a gallon of Hercules and a paint roller, it can look "new" again ... LOL. Of course if your ego is invested in the looks of your truck forget all that  :smt005

That said, I'm with Craig, line it with plywood and a mat if you need.
