so i have been thumbing through almos every kayak discussion thread yet and i do think i have heard anything about this company and their products... whats the deal with that? Why is that actually, are they not reputable, just not utilized in a way that most people utilize the other major names? should i consider them...does anyone have quality stories about them: why shouldn't i buy them? please get back to me. I would appreciate it.

Doesn't look half bad. Ascend to my understanding is brand sold at BassPro.  I found a few videos on YouTube including this one if you decide to get one, let us know how it works out for you.

They are made by tracker boats. There are a few members here that have the standard fs12t model an I haven't heard them complain. I have seen a few YouTube videos on this model and it looks super stable so I would imagine it paddles like a barge.

Yea, I have a Ascend FS12T and just bought the wife the D10T. I looked at the FS128T when I was buying the D10T, its a big boat. Its wide and the has a flat open deck. Be a good boat for fly fishing. The swivel seat is kinda cool. I,m sceptical of its tracking, its hull looks similar to the wife's D10T. I noticed the bow on the D10T walks back and forth a couple of inches with each stroke due to its flat hull. My FS12T tracks straight as an arrow. The FS128T is also heavy at 84 lbs. Their  are some reviews on BPS web sight. Hope this helps.

I have the Ascend FS-10. It is super stable but it is like paddling a barge, which is ok for me. I enjoy the workout. I have had it for 4 years now and have not had any problems, lots of room for camping and fishing gear. Handles waves pretty good, Ive been out on days I probably shouldnt have and it preformed great. Catches BIG fish :) Hope you can find some of this info helpful.

Could this be something that could go to keep beds and survive a bit of chop out in the ocean?

At 84 lbs it's a beast of a kayak.
At thirty Three inches wide it's going to be a beast to paddle too.
Amenity wise it looks like a very well thought out kayak.
I'm always concerned about a kayak that has a raised seat while on the ocean.
The conditions can change in a snap and not having a low center of gravity could have serious consequences.
Another personal concern of mine with the width has to do with the ability to straddle the kayak.
My legs are constantly in the water for a variety of reasons; comfort, stability, slowing down, etc.
A thirty three inch straddle would be painful.
I'm usually a bit skeptical of kayak manufacturers who do not specialize in kayak manufacturing.
I think this would be a great kayak for lakes. Ocean, not so much IMO.
Here's a better video:

It looks like a Pro Angler minus the Mirage Drive system.
