I usually fish from shores in the North side for bass. now with a new kayak, Any recommendation on where I can fish for bass in the south?  Also, any free launch sites?  Thanks

Free is Capell Cove or Oak Shores. Both on the west side. Only free I know of now.  Unless you want to haul gear down a mountainside at Markley.

Smittle Creek, just north of Oak Shores, is also free. It's a little bit of a haul down the slope to the lake (and up at the end of the day), so you need some good wheels (or hauling partners), but it's totally doable. Good access to a big slow zone + easy paddle to the middle of the lake near Big Island.

Cappell is a free launch and is pretty good. Just beware that vehicles do get broken into their. I've fished in tournaments where guys got their trailers stolen right off the trucks. Plates stolen just don't leave stuff visible in the vehicles.
