So glad you are alright! Scary crash, and its amazing you only got a few bruises. You are right, the car is replaceable and the kayak can be fixed. Next time, don't wait, take a break (something we all have to remember).

I'm just glad we didn't have a tragedy amongst our NCKA Family.

Wowsers!  Really glad to hear both of you came out with some scratches.  That looked like a pretty gnarly crash.

+1000 on the seat belts!  I've been in a near death accident too and the seat belt saved my life.

That was intense!  I've seen Subaru's in rollovers and that was the worst I've ever seen one crushed on the roof like that.  I got a Subaru for my wife especially for their roll over safety.

However, I would recommend to anyone in a vehicle accident of any consequence, getting checked out by a doctor as soon after as is practical.  A good buddy at work did the same thing; dozed off and rolled his Subaru.  He showed up an hour late in my office.  When I looked at him, he still had glass in his hair!  The CHP had given him a ride in to work.   I called his wife and took him home to get cleaned up and rest.  He too said he didn't need to see a doctor.  The next morning his wife woke up and her husband and my friend was dead.  He had some sort of internal brain bleeding that did him in.  If someone had checked him over, they would probably had noticed some problem and might have prevented his death.

Thanks for the warning I did end up going to the DR later that day for a check up I just wasnt bad enough to go in the ambulance.

Wes

Great to hear this had a relatively happy ending & glad to see you came out of it with a positive attitude, not to mention only minor injuries. See you at GS8!

I'm so glad you and your friend made it out okay.   Stuff can be replaced.

Long drives to and from fishing or hunting trips have always worried me.  I once tapped someone's bumper driving home tired from a long day of fishing.  I just got lucky that there was no damage or injuries.

I took some of these on my trip to Shelter Cove and I know it save my butt.  It's faster, easier, and cheaper than stopping for coffee.

I am so glad you and your passenger are alright after such a horrific crash. I have not met you and am glad I will some day have a chance too. I am driving my second Subaru and by the looks of your car I think we can both agree that we are glad to drive one of the safest vehicles on the road. If you believe in God then he was definitely watching over you, seat belts and Subaru's just help even the odds......glad all is well and everything else can be replaced.  Cheers Mike

dang boy! some scary $h!t right there; glad you both are okay!

As one who does not like Coffee, I always carry Frosted Flakes or Fruit Loops in the RV; so when I start feeling sleeping, I start munching on them. The constant crunching seems to keep me awake, plus keeps me from getting hungry. So far it has done the job....

But will definitely make sure I and my passengers ALWAYS wear seat belts from now on!
