Can you enter the raffle without fishing?

I have no boat, and with the current ocean conditions I am not big on barfing all day anyway, but I would like to come up and participate in the festivities after the weigh in and such.

I am currently smoking pork as we type.  I can bring some if you like.  It is looking sweet.

Mooch..... I WANT MY YAK THAT I WON!!!

It still hasn't arrived.  I was expecting it this weekend, but I haven't heard back from Mark yet.

Oh, and a new fishing rod would be cool.

But really, I just want to hang out.

My head says take a loner.

My stomach says sit this one out.

Last time I fished a tourney on the ocean I almost got myself into trouble fishing too deeply into seasickness and almost not making it back to harbor.

Thanks for the offer, but I will pass this time.

You can of course come and hang out Mol. The raffle is for entrants only though. We are not planing on selling tickets.

I can't promise you anything swell wise but there are places that are like a lake around HMB. You never know you could just drift in the harbor and catch a big ole but.

Thanks Bill, right on.

I think I am just gonna come up and soak it in.

I need to work on my seasickness before I do anything "public" in the ocean these days.

ditto on what Bill said....when I was there last Sunday, there were Pelicans diving INSIDE the harbor and I was marking tons of bait as I was paddling back to the launch.  There's gotta be some halibut inside....Mol, it's your destiny to find out for sure  :smt002

I think that I will just come up and razz you all on the radio and glad hand a bit after the tournament.

With luck, I will be working on my kayak on Saturday, but I still haven't heard back from Mark.

What's to food deal?  Pot luck?  I can bring a few pork sandwiches, but not enough to feed everyone.  Are you gonna fry up any of the fish brought in?

Just count your lucky stars that I'm NOT entering.  If I had you might as well have just stayed home!   :smt003

Pot luck food and I think I am going to bring my cajun cooker with a cast iron pot for frying.

EXCELLENT.

That is worth the trip alone.  Fresh fish tacos!   :smt007

There is no better taco than one made with fish just out of the water.

I'll bring some pork and my extra special BBQ sauce and buns.

I'll join the sponsor list.

I will throw in a sixpack of my freshly brewed Imperial Oatmeal Stout for the runner up so they can drown their sorrows from not winning.

I appreciate the beer offer but we are going to need to keep it off the premises. There is a strict "No outside alcohol" policy at the yacht club.
