Mooch,

Do you always rig your curly tail worms in that orientation?  I always rig mine upside down relative to how you do it.  I'm not sure why.  Anyone have any good reasoning why one way might be different than the other?

I do it that way cause the tip of the tail tends not to get hooked - when jigging  :smt002

The curl up/down is a continuing bone of contention between me and my buddy down south.

He rigs his up religiously, and I down.

It is really to each his own, but my buddy claims better action of the tail up.  I think it is opposite.

Or how about scampi tails.  Does anyone rig them up/down instead of left/right?

I personally don't like the pliers, however I do like this ...

I stick with the basics just plain iron but we will see after this weekend what pays off.

It's interesting to see what one person considers the basics.  I consider curly tail worms as the basics.  Others think swim baits are.  And other would think plain bait.  :smt001

Hi Yakers:

Try the Zzingers on that same page. I like the new green magic, but the crome is a favorite as well.
I have been using them for years.
