Just a guess but I bet his $2 fishing license didn't require him to have to display it. He probably didn't have to consult the fishing regs on a daily basis. The limit was probably as much as you could carry and the fishing was probably phenomenal. All that for $2 has to be one of the hot deals of the century in my book.

Digging through some old stuff I found this knife they used to sell them out of a case with a bunch of other knifes remember the Barlow's I think it was like $1.29 for any knife in the case.
