Ahoy there

My name is Travis, I am new to the forum, and forums in general. I have been kayak fishing in Capitola and Santa Cruz for something like seven years now and frankly I cant get enough. I work part time at the Kayak Connection in the Santa Cruz Harbor while I go to school to get my teaching credential. I am happy to say that the Kayak Connection just started carrying more kayak oriented fishing gear, feel free to come by and talk shop. My friends and I are going out of the Harbor to the mile buoy this Thursday to try for some flatties if any one is interested. Cheers.

I remember 'back in the day' when KC used to be the only Norcal kayak shop that hosted fishing tournies. It would be so awesome if they brought back the Father's Day tourney.

any kayak rental discounts for ncka members? i want to get some of my friends into the madness without denting their wallets 

I will have to talk to the owners about a discount, might be able to make some thing happen

the new owners are a young couple named Dave and Jessica, they bought the shop from Mark and Margaret last June. They are very friendly and hyped about fishing. I took Dave out kayak fishing for his first time, he caught a few rock cod and he said he is hook.

Welcome, Travis! I fish Capitola and SC, too, usually starting in June, using a Hobie Outback i got at Kayak Connection. Lets get out together sometime.
