Cool idea but you can buy a portable solar charger for a lot less and easier to transport.  Thanks for sharing the link Jeff.

That's kinda cool, but yeah it's really pricey!  I ran across some Youtube video's on homemade thermalelectric generators that got me thinking about running light's off of my woodstove.  The modules are really cheap on eBay too!

  Guess I should have kept my igloo thermo cooler.  I like the idea of these generators, but, for me, I don't think I'd need one.  For the amount of camping and type of camping I do now (Truck Vs. Kayak) I'm not away from power sources long enough for deplete any batteries I may be using (Phone, FF, headlamps etc)  If truck camping, I carry a small 400 watt inverter, if kayak camping my truck is usually there with me, unless Del Valle, then, I'm not using my phone anyway.
  I don't see a need for these tiny generators at the moment.  Yes, they do have "Cool factor"  just not for me right now.
