The Stanislaus River is currently at 3,000cfs, a little high for the yak. Got out for a bit after work. Managed one 16 incher on the flyrod.

The flow is supposed to drop to 1,00cfs after may 10th. At that point the fly fishing should be ideal. It's a great spot to fly fish because the channel isn't very wide so there's no need for 100 foot long casts.

We Launched at Jacob Meyer's Park and Drove upstream. Some of the best Striper fishing I have had is between Jacob Meyer and McHenry Rec.
