5/3/13 - 1 fish at the hole, sc, 49 and 00, get there early!

if you go tomorrow, get there early.  it looks like the fish are stuffed with krill.  we saw massive clouds of them on the surface all day.  we launched out of santa cruz ahead of the crowd, ran straight to 49 and 00, had one hit at 6am on a 1 eyed jack and boxed him, then at 6:15 am a long line release on the same rig, both at 45 feet on the wire.  that was it for the day.  when the sun hit the water, the bite was over.

Nice to hear from you Mr. Tani-san.  Reports I've been getting indicate generally 1-4 fish a boat (or 0-4).

Yesterday I talked to a couple guys who got fish right off the bat, then waited for HOURS for the bite to come back on.  But it did, for them.

An increase of big fish, lots of 20's some 25's, and a couple over 30 this week.  Get back out there!!
