WOW what a great time!!!! Some super secret info shared! GS7 tables may have been turned!  :smt044 :smt044 :smt044 Thanks to all that shared gear and actual setups with us less experienced Yak fishermen... Even I might be able to catch fish out there on the big blue now :smt005 Should have come if you missed it. :smt003
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Impressive seminar to say the least.
I had just come from FW where I was picking up some lead heads. They were having a seminar too but I didn't notice any food or beer for the attendees.  :smt044
Thanks Bird and ChuckE for sharing your many years of experience OTW.
For those of you who didn't make it, you missed a great one.

That was fun - thanks to everyone for coming out, and contributing to the potluck!  Thanks to Jeff at CCK for hosting and manning the BBQ.  Always good seeing old buds and it was good to meet some new members.  Alot of great tips shared by folks, learned some new tricks.   Thanks again all!

That was a good time! Nice to learn many tricks that I wasn't aware of. The food was delicious, in fact, I ended up wearing a mustard bib when one of those giant hot dogs rolled off my plate and dumped in my lap   :smt044

Great to see and meet many people I only knew through postings.

Thank you John (Bird), ChuckE and CCK Kayak. Appreciate your knowledge, time and efforts for this event. Good stuff!

Wow... Great turnout.  I think we had about 20 attendees.  It was also great to meet and reconnect with a bunch of you.  The food was outstanding -- grilled man dogs, Rob/Dirobolo's Curry, Tony/Novofish's sushi, Naoaki's Japanese beer, lots of snacks, desserts, drinks, and more.  Just as satisfying as the food, was John/Bird's Rockfish and Salmon Clinic.  I simply played the role of John's stage assistant.

Great job John!
Thanks Jeff @ CCK!
Thanks to everyone who came out to share the food, fun, and knowledge!!!

Here are some pics I took:

We discussed salmon mooching rigs - max 2 barbless circle hooks, fixed with no more than 5 inches between hooks.  The question came up regarding from what points on the hooks is the 5 inches measured, and no one was certain.  Tote followed-up and checked the regs, as described below.  Thanks Mike.

Here it is directly from the regs:

Quote

"The distance between the two hooks must not exceed 5 inches when measured from the top of the eye of the top hook to the inner base of the curve of the lower hook and both hooks must be permanently tied in place (hard tied)."
