Hey thanks Craig!  It's turned into an epic battle between "drift boat sturgeon" and "chrome kayak brown." Here's the link:

http://www.fishwithjd.com/2013/04/29/vote-for-the-april-hawg-of-the-month-2/

Thanks to everyone who votes!  Even if I don't win I'm very proud to have entered that brown into the Hawg of the Month contest and very thankful to everyone who voted!

I see nothing special about the sturgeon, but how often do you get to catch a brown of that size?

Thanks for the votes Fishadow, Hojoman, Sailfish!

The voting got real interesting this afternoon.  All of a sudden the sturgeon received over 500 votes within a 30 minute period.  Apparently you can vote more than once in this thing, so I'm guessing somebody got really click-happy and has been voting for the sturgeon over and over again  :smt009.  It's a nice sturgeon and all, but it was from a driftboat...and we all know a fish landed from the kayak is way cooler than a fish landed from a drifter (let alone a powerboat, hehe).

You got my vote. I was impressed with the striper caught  on a fly but catching that fish from a kayak is cooler. I hope you win!

Thanks a lot guys!  Bones, I agree: I know that guy who caught the striper on the fly.  A good fisherman with a very impressive fish.  If I hadn't already voted for myself, I would've voted for the striper.

It's neck-and-neck guys!  Thanks again for your votes!
