Saturday AM looks real good for Pigeon Point.  Plan to be there by 7:30AM at the lighthouse, will find some new fish holes around the south cove which we never explored in the past.

Condition:

Saturday AM - NW swell 3.5 feet/8 sec with 5MPH NW wind. High tide 6:42AM
Sunday AM - SSW swell 1.5 feet/13 sec with 10MPH SSW wind.  High tide 7:54AM

Hope to see you all there, thanks

I was checking out this area with google earth on Sunday. Those stairs look challenging. I was looking around in the underwater view. I found some really good reef about 1 mile out in 90' that goes up to 65'. Unfortunately I have to head back east till Tuesday. Take a look in google earth, grab the coordinates. Mike

The stairs are challenging if you're by yourself. When we do hookups there, we always stick with whatever time we agreed on and wait for the rest if they're running late. That way, we can safely transport with 2 persons per yak.

the place is pretty dangers ain't it? i remember some boating death and shark attack from last year.  Aren't their safer places to celebrate the rock fish opening?

the stairs are not as bad as you think.  the landlord is worse than you would think.  i carried my revo 13 up the stairs before solo, but i won't fish out of that area alone. not worth it.

Sorry Chester, can't make this one. Between my wife's baby shower on Sat and mom's bday on Sun, my hands are full. I might be 50/50 for Sunday though, depends on how you guys do.

Per CS 5/1 report, they are catching salmon in the area. 14/28 which is ~ 3 miles fm shore.
Going Fishing?
Winds from the south, hook in
    the mouth.
Wind from the east, bite the least.
Wind from the north, further off.
Wind from the west, bite the
    best.

Herb - Sunday's forecast is no good, strong wind; actually wind starts to pick up Saturday afternoon and will stay strong through next Tuesday.  Have a good one at home :smt001
