Fernando, aka Adoboat joined me on Berry this AM for some kok hunting.  We ditched the kayaks and took the North River.  We launched at Steele Park and headed around the corner to start our troll.  It took over an hour before we got the skunk off the boat with a 14 inch trout.  Throughout the morning we landed lots of hard fighting trout but the kokanee evaded us.  At 11:30 we caught a smallish king salmon and that ended the bite.  The fish were in the 22 to 30 foot range although we did try down to 60 feet.  Our research told us the koks were also in this range but no cigar.  Fernando had to leave at noon so I put him ashore and headed back out to see if I could find an afternoon bite.  I didn’t!  I ran as deep as 80 feet but found no love.  A few other fishermen at the ramp had similar results.  I ended the day at 1:30 as it was getting hot…..but not the bite.  A few photos…

The WX was perfect this morning.

Thanks Sam for a fun troll for Kokes this morning.  You've got a sweet boat and you're one hell of a fisherman!
