GoPro3 Black feedback

lucky13, I think it makes sense sometimes not to be the first person to buy a new electronic item.

Regarding my Hero3 black remote issue, GoPro is going to replace the remote...I will let you all know how that goes.

In order to get approval to return the remote to GoPro I had to visit my local REI to request a duplicate receipt (somehow I misplaced the other one). When I explained why I needed it, the clerk listed all the problems she's had and the common problems she's herd of as a clerk at REI. Long story short, a lot of people are having issues.

I bought a hero3 white. I have only tried it once and don't know much about software. Sounds like it needs to be upgraded. And what editing software do you guys use? I have a MacBook.

I use iMovie for now but I plan on using the latest Final Cut Pro once I buy my new Mac. You can also download GoPros CineForm Studio fron their website. Go on their website and register your Hero3 and sign up for the news letter and they'll send you a notice anytime updates are available.

Updates please? I'm gonna pickup a silver this weekend has the latest firm ware updates addressed the lock up issues?Was it a sd issue? Should I wait ?

I haven't had any further issues with my Black. I'm mostly using the Transcend 64gb card. 32gb isn't big enough IMO. I saw Best Buy had the Black on sale recently so I would definitely check around on the prices or wait until the day after Thanksgiving for max discounts.

I have the Hero 3 Black and haven't had any issues with mine.  THe last update was suppose to take care of some compatibility issues with certain SD cards.  Just make sure you get a Class 10 and double check GoPros website for info on the recommended cards.  If you are wanting to do any slow motion you might want to get the Black.  I've been playing around with the 120fps at 720p.  It's awesome.
