Not sure if I'll be in town this weekend, but just a heads-up: if you're looking for smallmouth bass, now's the time!  There are loads of fish on spawning beds right now.  I took the kayak to the backs of a couple coves yesterday and bass were EVERYWHERE.  Super fun sight-fishing opportunities.  There's also still a lot of pre-spawners milling around too once you get tired of sight-fishing males on their beds.  Didn't try for trout this weekend, but I'm certain they're biting...it's just too hard to turn away from such an awesome bass bite :smt003.

If I happen to stick around town this weekend, I'll be down to fish with ya if you come up!
