So, several of you know that I got to try one of the Eddyline Carribeans back in January at Crab Fest (Headwaters brought it along)....I didn't have an ocean-going kayak of my own, just my sit-inside 12 ft Oldtown Dirigo that I bought used last fall (actually, I love that dirigo, it's super stable and nothing fancy).

I never thought I would see myself in a sit-on-top, but then again, when I started kayaking I never saw myself ever wanting to try the ocean either, LOL! I am still not interested in anything that requires a helmet, but I convinced my hubby (instead of WAF points, it was HAF points) that it was ok for me to go into debt for another yak  :smt005

My job is going well, so I am VERY thankful - I should have that darn credit card paid off in a while. Dan at Headwaters had a used demo model (thanks, Dan!) that was an awesome deal, I couldn't not do it :smt003

I am going to have to sell my very first "starter" kayak, a "Watercraft Aruba" 10 ft (with a paddle!). If you know anyone who wants it, it is in excellent condition - great as an extra rec kayak to have on hand when the family visits, haha. Here's a link to it, they normally sell for $269 but I am asking $175.

so.....I got a 14 ft Eddyline Carribean with two rod holders in the back - there are lots of spaces for other stuff, and I can't wait to give it a try this weekend!

WOOT! WOOT! I am really a lucky gal. Thanks Headwaters, for offering such a awesome price!

Congratulations!  I was at Headwaters Tuesday and you cannot help but notice an Eddyline when it's in near proximity.  A neat boat with some meat features!

How much you want for the eddyline crib.I'm looking for one.I hear that 14 is a great all around yak and at 50# you can launch it anywhere

My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Thanks, guys! :smt006

I washed it (kind of like when you get a car I guess...or maybe it's just me, LOL) and was polishing it up. I know it will get dirty, but it feels good to have it all ready to go! Then a bug got on it (arrgggg, LOL).

Dune 12 - Victor's right, I am not selling the Eddyline (haha), but I am selling my very simplistic starter kayak if someone needs an extra leasure boat ;-)

Call Headwaters - I think he had a few other Eddylines (if they haven't already sold).

Before you fish out of it, go to Savemart and by some fresh baby squid. Rud them all over it, and never wash it again. The only washing it should get is a rinse after being in the salt. The stinker the better for fishing. ;-)
