Fish Junky joined me at Sly Park this AM for a little yak attack on the trout population.  We launched at 8 AM from the upper lake ramp and spread out to find the fish…. Kevin peddling and me paddling.   Junky drew first blood with a nice 12 inch trout.  I followed shortly with a fish of similar dimensions.  Over the course of 4 hours we landed 4 fish to 13 inches;  all thrown back for another day.  At noon we decided to try another lake called El Dorado Forebay….. a lake Junky grew up fishing.  Well it’s been 15 years since he was there and when we arrived we discovered the lake closed to fishing/boat traffic.  Oh well.  We decided to go eat some tacos and call it a day.  I got a chance to scratch off a new lake from my bucket list and we did catch fish outa the yak.  It’s all good.  A few photos for your approval…

The WX was perfect this morning.

One of the volunteers.

Out by the dams it was like the Dead Sea.  We fished this area briefly then back upstream we went.

Another one dances on the hook.

Fish Junky looking for one more fish!

Wish I knew you guys were headed up there.
Most of the fish are by the first launch as they have been planting there recently.

Sorry Tote.  Next time I'll post up a hookup.  We would have enjoyed your company.
