We have been eating raw Horseneck Clams  for several years that we harvest from the clam beds off of Lawson's Landing.  Is shell fish poisoning a high risk?

Clams are not "filter feeding" like mussels so the risk of PSP is extremely low.  I've done some research but have not found any PSP related to Horse Neck/Gapper clams.

If I get poisoned for eating raw clams it's Sonny's fault
He got me hooked on them.  :smt003

Wind from the east, bite the least.

I'm thinking I'm going to try bodega this weekend non-yak because I'll have a new clammer with me. We are going to roll tomorrow midday and camp out somewhere. We don't have a reservation so we might renegade camp somewhere. If anyone has a camp site this weekend and are willing to have an extra truck in it we'd gladly split the costs, supply food grub and good eats. Pm me if you have space. Thanks joe

Some of the "Screws" will be clamming at Lawson's Landing on Monday (4/1).  Peak minus tide is around 9:00 AM.
We will launch around 8:30.  So far it will be Fish 'n Brew, HobieDave, Daviator, and probably Sailfish too.

Luis,  my bad!  I guess it would have to be 5/1.  This coming Monday.  We plan to meet at the sea wall at Lawson's Landing at 8:00 AM.  Are you going to join the us for some playing in the mud?

It's Monday April 29th, 2013 and I'm in.  We should launch around 8am to take advantage of 1/2 hour before low tide.

Thanks Sonny.  I don't know what calendar I was looking at.  In any case it's tomorrow morning.

Six of us went out there today and all got limits of nice sized clams.  The incoming tide and the wind made for really nasty conditions on the way back.  It's always a good time playin' in the mud with the NCKA brothers.
