Hey all,

So, I ordered both to compare, and I can't decide which ones to keep. The composite ones are significantly lighter since they are plastic. They also do not have a spring that could be lost if I untighten it too far. However the tube itself has a larger circumference at the top end and allows for more wiggle, so the rods bounce around more. They flare out at the top with a notch cut in.

The aluminum ones, although heavy, seem to hold the rods more tightly(they do not flare, they are just straight tubes- and there is no notch at the top cut in.

I'd love any feedback that's out there.

Thanks,
napajustin
