Nice shooting, Ben. When did you go to Texas? How was the weather?

We left last Tuesday and came home yesterday. We bought a 5 day hunting permit for something like $48 so it was a pretty affordable hunt. The weather was mild 60's and 70's. Had some thunder and lightening but no rain. Suppose to warm up into the 90's this week. I think we picked a good time to go.

Finally discovering the report and pics that ncka's bowhunters were talking about. Very nice!   Congrats Ben!

I've been wanting to bowhunt javelina ever since I picked up archery decades ago.  Glad to know it's affordable.

Anyone wanting to do a similar road trip next year, please let me know.

Nice Javlina Ben. I've got a bunch of wild pigs in my housing development here in North Texas. People here can kill them if you can stay up late to catch them rooting up your flowers

Nice!

I think I woulda made a mount out of that 1st one.

Both are at the Taxidermy. 1st one is going to be a shoulder mount and the second Europeon mount. The photo on the second doesn't really show the quality of the lower teeth but they are a little over 2 1/2 inches with a twist. Pretty big chompers!

Nice! Mind postin' pics of the mounts when you get them back?

Got the mounts back!

It's very rare to see a Javelina with turned out teeth like a pig. This is considered a big Javelina.

I hate those damn things. In Tucson they would f-up the yard and garden, and they were dangerous as hell to run into a herd mountain biking.
Ornery, nasty critters

Beautiful mounts...
