I would say don't get caught up too much on stability.   When I got my first yak in 07 (OK Big Game), my primary concern was stability.   Time and experience OTW will probably change your mind on stability.   Tracking in wind and speed are bigger concerns for me now.  All my comments are primary directed at fishing in the salt. 

When you fish a barge, you will find it quickly gets old to have everyone leave you behind, and they leave you behind with way less effort.

I couldn't agree more with this statement, of course since I went for stability on my first yak, I do have a good excuse to get a AI for speed now.
