Started trolling Lake Amador at around 11 am on Sunday 03/24.  Really just went up for the raffle drawing at 2pm because I had caught a tagged fish a few weeks ago.  I generally avoid weekends because they are really really crowded.

Trolled a white grub on one pole and a shad imitation on the other.  The white grub got all the hits.  I hooked up three typical 3-4 pound Donaldson trout.  They are so much fun!  They jump and never give up.  I landed one that somehow put a hole in my net.

My hits were in the middle of the lake, crossing the spillway to the RV park.  I think the fish were in deeper water and came up when they were hungry.  Not many fish surfaced.  I also didn't see any schools of shad.  I bet they were deep too.

How did you do at the raffle?  I never even caught a tagged fish this year.

It was 21 inches. Big enough to feed the family.
