 So glad things went well.
Nothings more important than our kids. Heck, I'd even give up kayak fishing - in a heartbeat - if it made a difference in my son's health

Best wishes

Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Thanks, bro.

Daughter is still in ICU, but doing a little better each day. This evening she was blowing raspberries and waving at people.

Unfortunately my grandfather passed away Wednesday night. He stayed awake long enough to know that Kylee was going to be OK, then kicked everyone out of his room, and passed away thirty minutes later.

Dustin,
I'm so happy that your daughter is doing better each day and so sorry to hear about your grandfather.
Sounds like you and your family have had quite an emotional roller coaster as of late. I'm hoping that the road of life is much smoother for all of you.

Thanks, you guys.

My Papa was 86 or 87 years old and had diabetes.

For the last five years he's had to go in for kidney dialysis regularly and also had to have fluid removed from his lungs every couple of weeks.

I take a little comfort in the fact that I knew he was tired of having to go through all of this and was ready to go. I just wish this all didn't have to happen at once, but I'm glad he left us knowing his great grand daughter was going to be OK.

It sounds like a very tough week.  I'm sorry for your loss and I hope your daughter's recovery is rapid.  It is nice to see how your brothers have rallied to support you.  It must be nice to feel the support of so many.   If you are in need of something, speak up!   I'm sure some of us would be happy to help.

Indeed, it is great. I owe a lot of life long friends to this place.

We just got back down to ucsf to find our little lady wide awake, rolling around, and making all the nurses laugh.

We also just got to escort her out of ICU!

So glad to hear your daughter is doing well, and out of the ICU Dustin!  Must be a big relief to you and your whole family.  Really sad to hear about your Grandpa's passing.  Sounds like a real fighter, and I hope he rests in peace knowing his grandaughter is in good hands.
