I told a few folks about my daughter's surgery that was scheduled for today. (She had a malaligned VSD and had to have open heart surgery at UCSF this morning). I was supposed to PM some folks to let them know how everything went, but so many people ended up sending me prayers, thoughts, and well wishes that I thought posting this would be a bit easier than sending a bunch of PMs.

The doctor just came out and told us that her surgery went flawlessly and although they need to keep an eye on her lungs for awhile, she should be making a full recovery and have no long lasting side effects.

We should be able to see her in a few minutes.

Thank you so much to all of you who kept Kylee in your thoughts and prayers. I love you guys.

I don't personally know you but I'm really glad that everything went well!  I can imagine something like this may have been stressful on you and your family, and most importantly your little girl.  Wishing her a nice and healthy recovery!  Take it easy bro.
