Out of the blue, says she wants one. Guess she's tired of the violin...

Peace & blessings!

I know nothing about ukeleles but I have this one. It says Su-15 made in Taiwan on the box. Tag on top of neck says "Made in Taiwan Republic of China". The model name on the front is Prelude. It is like New condition.
Willing to trade for Kayak gear.
Interested in a tall seat back or seat cushion for sit on top. X L Kayak wear. Make offer? ?

i'll be in Kauai for a week starting this Saturday.  Let me know if you want me to grab an el cheapo from Hilo Hattie or ABC store. I think they're only like $20.  Can mail you one if you want

Here is one from Amazon.  A little pricey but it's well made, sounds great and easy to play.  Lot's of cheapos out there and they don't sound right when you play the chords.

I would avoid the $20 ukuleles, they never stay in tune.
There are several brands out there that cost between $60 - $300 depending on the wood choice that are actually stay in tune and sound pretty good.  They're all made in china.  If you want "Made in Hawaii" you'll pay $500+.

I'm personally partial to the Kala brand.   I have a low end "Makala" line soprano pinapple uke from Kala and for $50 it's great.

When I changed out the factory strings for some Aquila Nylguts it sounded even better..

Hey John,
I got this one for my 4yo, hopefully some day she'll play it. :smt005
$40 or so, my buddy has one that sounded just fine after he replaced the strings.
Kala Dolphin is the model.
Should be easy for her to play after the violin.
The OS Rey suggested is a pretty nice instrument as well, much nicer than the $50 Ibanez I play.

i have a lanikai which i love, it came with the aquila strings but i prefer the d'addario, they have a lusher sound, and they were free, old friend was VP for marketing :smt003, the lanikai's come in different body styles and price ranges to suit all budgets and experience, cameron
