Yeah, would've been all over it, but I have no metal cutting skills. Weber bbq lids do fit, btw.

It's super easy to do a butt in these guys. Haven't done my brisket yet though. But really a great smoker.

I did a UDS build last year. Thread here:  http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=35049.0

What I learned/If I had it to do again-

Get an unlined can. The lining is a bitch to get out if you don't have industrial sandblasting equipment. These things are super customizable and I use mine all the time.

i can get some barrels with removable lids for you guys if wanted.  i work at a truck lube and our grease barrels have a removable liner so the drum is clean.  the lid might have some grease that can be easily cleaned.  i work in lodi, but live in stockton so i can deliver in either city.

Only 1 is available right now.  They empty every week or 2 so the supply is replenished often
.I can get the one barrel today.

Does anyone know where I can get plastic 55 gallon barrels?

We also have plastic barrels but it contained cleaning solvent. May be hazardous. Not sure when I can get some.

John, I'd hook you up, but I don't even know where Stockton is.

Right now the 3 barrels I have are spoken for. I'll post up if something changes.

You got dibs John.
