I will be fishing Rancho Seco this Saturday for crappie, bass, and trout.  Last weekend I got 4 trout and lost one in the 5 or 6 pound range.  I also stuck a big bass that came off.  I thought I snagged a tree stump, but then the tree stumped moved.  Water temps should be perfect.  I'll be parking at the north parking area around 7:30.  After you go through the entry and drive down the road, as soon as you see the boat launch you hang a left and drive down the dirt path and park at the end.  Rancho Seco is a electric motor only no minnow fishing lake.  Entry fee is $10, I am not sure if they charge extra for a kayak since I have always fished it from a float tube.  I'll have my radio on at channel 69.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

I've been thinking about fishing that place lately.  I was going to go gold panning, but that's over 2 hour drive.  RS is 45minutes.

I think i'll join you guys. There's no extra charge for a kayaks $10 gets you in. I'll probably launch at the boat ramp though.

Me too; I'll be at the boat ramp to launch.

From their website;
$10 car
$15 car and boat

Since they don't allow motors, I'm gonna figure they will charge for the kayak too.

They have camping there too.  Didn't know that and I worked for SMUD for over 30 years...

 It's probably safe to bring $15 since there's no ATM close by. I haven't gone out there this year but last year i went about 10 times and  it was $10 with my kayak each time.
