how old and what condition? New they run $799 with seat, paddle, and 2 year warrantee. look for the serial number, should be scratched on the back somewhere. the last 2 digits are the year.  xxxxxx04 is a 2004 model kayak

He thinks its an 05. It has some minor scratches, seat but no paddle. I am looking at it in the morning. Is the price fair for a used one?

7 years old is not bad if stored outdoors, check for sun damage, a good deal of fading would turn me away, not so much for the color but possible cracking caused by the sun.

Crap, just reread my own note, what I meant to say is 7 years isn't bad if stored INDOORS, or at least out of the sun.
