Non Yak Striped bass/Sturgeon 2/17/2013

I called Capt. Steve from Flash Sportfishing on Saturday and jump on two available Sunday openings. Boat left Martinez marina about 6:30 a.m. and first our stop was new Benicia Martinez bridge. We had couple bites runs and one of them appeared to be the very first Striped bass for my 9 year old son, but no mister Dino’s. We moved towards fleet later with tide and had none stop bass action with couple small sturgeons “kissed and released”. At the end I had 36-38 incher dino that self released just near the boat.

We finished day with 2 bass keepers 19 and 20 inches and lots of positive from fishing in a good company. We saw a lot of sturgeons on the screen, but they simply did not bite.

Nice pic. Haven't tried that boat yet. Went with friends with Right Hook Sportfishing last year. The friends boated sturgeon; I ended up with nada.

it was my second time on Flash and it's only proved my 1st impression that Capt.Steve is one of the best and very customer/fishing oriented. He shares his knowledge and is very good if you want to fish with kids.

My familys been fishing with Steve since I can remember , great guy. They even went on some albacore runs with him
