Gonna call in sick and get some much needed R+R on the water! Launching out of Montezuma/Belden's around 0630, and hitting a hole I've been dying to try. I've read a few promising reports lately, and with the warmer temps I'm getting excited about sturgeon. Company encouraged! I'll be on channel 69.

Tell us how you do tomorrow and how you did today.
I live in Fairfield and would really like to fish Montezuma with someone.  I can make weekdays more often than weekends, but not tomorrow.
Good luck tomorrow.

Once again, no love from Montezuma. Total skunk. Soaked roe and shad in depths from 20ft to 35, and soaked for about 2 hours in a hole dropping down to 51ft. Not a single bite. I pedaled about 9 miles total for the day, and only marked ONE sturgeon. Of course though, they have to taunt me...an obvious oversized jumped clear out of the water about 100ft from where I was soaking...and that has been the only sign of life I've ever seen at that place!

I'd say if you are planning on heading out, try either Cache, Shag Slough, or Rio Vista. Those places seem to be getting much more action than Montezuma right now.
