I will Mel, that yak is in great shape. If we can't get in the ocean next week because of conditions we are going to take her for a spin in the river. I can't wait to try it out!

...I transport my yaks upside-down facing forward and the nose doesn't touch the roof of my cab. (But I remove the carrying handle so it doesn't bang on the roof)...


I use a short piece of pool noodle between the handle and the roof to keep the handle from banging.  Long enough to stay in place without indenting the roof.
You can get just as drunk on water
As you can get on dry land.

I have that same rack, works fine for my OK prowler. I did go to the plumbing store and get pipe padding/insulation to fit around it to avoid scratches and such, plus it gives it a little more slide resistance.
