Will be there with however many boats we need. Talked to Ron and he has yet to come up with any vets. Let me know what to bring by Wednesday so I can plan which rentals to reserve.

windy as heck today in turlock.  lets see if it stays that way, seems to be a tradition for the kelsey events that the wind picks up like crazy.  i might be able to make friday night now, gotta ask for the day off work.

As previously stated, I have enough hamburger meat for about 50 burgers. Would hate to defrost the entire batch and learn that I brought too much. So, the sooner we get a more up-to-date headcount, the better I will feel. Need to start defrosting soon.

Copy that Howard...  what is your last minute day for defrost?  and Thanks!   If we don't have a number by that day, we'll make a conservative guess on what we need...

Thanks Dan, and thanks for the update from Ron... feel sorry for him, he is experiencing what we went through 4 years ago..  Felt like we were at the VA's front door with a wheel burrow full of gold for them, and they would say... " Come back tomorrow!!!..."  Frustrating ....   :smt011

tell him not to worry about it, we'll be fine...    :smt004

I'm pretty sure we will still have a good amount of vets. I'm hoping to stay under 20 total, tomorrow I will put a full court press on this, even though the VA said they were not going to get back till Wednesday... stay tuned and Thanks Dan, really takes a load off on the yak department....

Got one from the Warrior Transition Unit, bringing his wife and 4 kids, 5 y/o and under for just the day on Saturday...

I have 2 PFDs for that age but need 2 more...

I'll pick up 4 tubs of worms for the dock, not sure if we need more, but it would be nice

Will go ahead and thaw out all of the patties. Also providing 48 burger buns, plastics (forks, knives, spoons), napkins, ketchup, mustard, relish, table and anything else I can think of. Will bring a portable propane grill unless anyone plans on bringing charcoal for the big grill there.

Are worms O.K?  The web site says no live bait.  Also, a reminder to anyone new that it's barbless hooks, catch-n-release only.

Is there any forms you need us to sign?  I can print if you post and have it on hand.

I can get 2 children PFD's at WalMart if you want.  I have grand kids and can use them at a later date.  Just let me know.

I'll haul everything I got, camping gear-wise; the tents, bags, tarps, lanterns, flashlights, extra chairs, etc.  If it's needed, great.  If not, that's fine too.  Better to have it on hand than not.

Worms are fine for the Blue Gill. 13"ers. You only need to run barbless on the plastic baits. Cranks are fine with barbs. They won't swallow those. If you get a deep hooked fish and don't know how to remove the hook I can show a technique that works most of the time. The vets really don't know how to detect bites early, so we will get a few swallowed plastics. We can deal with that when we need to. If the wind is down Sat it won't be too hard for them to see bites. Also, it is a good idea to carry a pair of cutters that will cut the hooks in half for removal as a last effort before releasing with a line and hook hanging.

For the food. Do we have breakfast covered yet Jack? Is there more  to buy for that? Lunch, just burgers, or are we doing dogs too. If we have vets camping Fri night are we doing a little dinner then too? Maybe a couple tri tips or something? Chicken? I think we should cook on coals if possible. My motorhome and kitchen will be available for prep too. Micro, convection, stove. Just throwing all this last minute stuff out there.

I'll give jack a call tomorrow,

I like your tri tip idea for Friday night, can you take care of that? save the recite ...

let us know... we have coals, I think I have 2 20lb bags, wood for the fire lets start a list...

it mostly going to be us volunteers Friday night and would not be surprised if that is all that shows Friday night..

I have 2 20 lbs bags of coals

Coffee for all days, hoping your RV ( Rob) can power the pots

Somepaper plates, cups, mustard, I'll have to check on what else I have...

Skipro,  I think were good on the kid PFD's, I'm sure dan has that covered, just wanted to put it out there we need a couple more and I do have one real kiddie one so I guess we just need 1 more...

hate to see ya bring to much extra gear as I'm not sure if we need any of it yet...

check back  tomorrow, I should have a better idea on extra camping gear...

Post up what your bringing, save recites for reimbursement, recites must just be for HOW items...

Thanks
