that is one serious board meeting right there!

My wife just saw her first lion near our place. She said it looked like two green glowing eyes in the forest (I was glad she was in a car).

I still haven't seen one that I know of, but they have probably seen me.

Would have been a bad night to be a deer in those woods!

According to this site (Data seems old though) there are 2 lions that have been near your area, 1F and 17M  1F was just a couple hundred yards from the airport! (Back in Aug 2012) it's possible she might have seen one of them

They've snatched a dog and a a few cats from my neighbors.      That looks like a strategy meeting.

We could use those in my neighbor hood for a while too dam many deer. They eat everything we plant here. I have seen two in the wild though they were very large cats. maybe 140 plus lbs. I think they feed on the pigs here. I saw 20 two days ago right next to the road. the largest was about 150 lbs. just right to shoot.

Wow!   I always thought of Mountain lions as territorial, and mostly solitary. Perhaps I'm projecting from my housecats behavior...she doesn't want any other cats around, and there's no mistaking that. Any thoughts on what explains the congregation?
Always willing to join others in the Monterey/Santa Cruz/Half Moon Bay area for a bit of fishing...feel free to contact me.

Looks like they are discussing who forgot to invite dinner.

Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.
