Diving for abs up North

I was wondering if anyone is successful ab diving north of the lost coast? Not looking for anyone to give up any hard earned locales. I am a lot closer to north/south jetty in Eureka and Trinidad than Mendo County and I have wondered if it would be worth it to bring "the gear" over there in the summer.

Try Patrick's point, also abs can be found in Trinidad bay if you hunt around. Good luck and post up how it goes.

It takes alot more work to get abs in Humboldt and Del Norte than it does south of here.  The conditions are often poor, access is limited, and the abundance of abs is way less than along the rocky coasts of Mendo and Sonoma.  You've got to be interested in the hunt and have time to commit to looking, reaching, feeling, hiking and being cold.

I do recommend it, but it's not for everyone.
