Went to Lafayette Reservoir from 7am to 1pm today. Caught 2 small trout trolling and 1 small trout on powerbait, all after 10am. I saw 10 other boats and 2 kayaks fishing with most reporting 1-2 fish and I only saw a few catches of small trout. The water is clearing but I think the cold weather is not helping.

Update1/26:  fished from 10 to 1pm caught two small on live worms and one medium 4lb keeper rainbow trolling. Water is muddy near shore and the wind picked up. A couple of other boats reporting 1-3 fish. Saw some big bass near the reeds. Should be better fishing in a week or so without rain.

One on a Rapala j7 trout color and one on a live worm at 20 feet deep. Also tried a couple of kastmasters and spoons. Most of the boats were on the south end but I had better luck elsewhere...

Welcome aboard and thanks for the report ZBrewski.
