I'll be up there this weekend for some snowboarding, but have time Sunday morning when everyone else is sleeping off a hangover. Do I have any chance of scoring some trout anywhere close to the city? No yak this time, so it's gotta be shore accessible. Preference for fishing running water, but can deal with slack water fishing too. Fly fishing is always good, especially dries. Not looking for honey holes, just basic areas if anyone can help. Thanks! And if you live in the area and want a frozen, possibly freezer burned crab or two, just let me know and I'll bring em up.

Only flowing water up there that's open is two sections of the Truckee right now.

Might check with the folks at Mountain Hardware in Truckee on road access due to snow.  There is always Donner.  Parking around Donner can be dicey unless they have plowed the ramp area.
