I'm very proud to welcome John "Bird" Keane to the Hobie Fishing Team.  He'll be the local Hobie Pro-staff member for California Canoe and Kayak (CCK) in the Sacramento area.  John's first seminar is coming up later this month.  I'll be there to soak in Bird's AOTY winning tips.  Great timing for this seminar.  Here's the official announcement:

Quote
Monday January 21st ~ Kayak Fishing for Winter Bass on Northern California Lakes

Hobie Kayak Fishing Team Pro John Keane will be presenting. Winter is a great time for targeting largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass on California lakes from your kayak. Days are peaceful as the summer recreational crowds are gone and there are great opportunities to catch quality bass. This seminar will discuss the basics for kayak fishing for winter Bass on our local lakes such as Berryessa, Bullards Bar, Folsom, and Clear Lake. Topics covered will include kayak rigging, clothing and safety; tackle options, and methods for targeting winter bass will also be discussed. There will be a full line up of Hobie Fishing Boats and other brands. Come on out and learn about this great winter fishing opportunity and meet other local kayak anglers.

I hear that CCK will be providing refreshments.  We'll likely bring some of our own too!!! :smt003

Thanks for the opportunity Chuck, much appreciated.

Hope to see some folks at CCK tomorrow.  Look forward to discussing some of the strategies and a few basic techniques chasing winter bass on some of our area lakes.  Winter is a great time to be on the water without the crowds and chances at nice bass.

PLEASE BRING A CHAIR.  CCK will be providing refreshments.  Starts at 6 PM.
