How did you do?  I often wonder about launching my kayak up the river arm while going through the area in my boat, where are the yak launch areas at?  Are they steep and a long walk?  I use a heavy Hobie Pro Angler.

The only legit launch upriver would be Hwy 49 bridge. All else is one helluva carry down.

I ended up launching glory hole and fishing coyote creek ( I think) angel creek was gated closed and decided I didn't have the time to try parrots ferry ( sounds like it is too far anyways for me to carry, no wheels) I ended up with four planters all released (12-17 ") and one massive carp.

Sonora Mike,
Is it reasonably safe to park at the 49 bridge lot? This is easily launchable

yup about as good as tuttle town the ranger office is right there, and its a free hand launch area. The road goes right to the water and you can park at the barricades on the waters edge. Its a pretty short paddle to coyote from there. :smt006 I was reffering to leaving a car on parrots ferry rd. I would not suggest doing that  :smt003

I launched at Tuttletown Monday with a boat, we went a bit past Parrot's Ferry and caught two bass while trolling up there. Caught two truck trout by the dam first thing in the am.  Supposedly the lake has turned over, fishing should be getting better.

I was wondering if you did any good..look out guys next year or the year after nm should be a huge trout lake as dfg will only be stocking triploid rainbows..From what I have read they are trying to improve the fishery and will only plant sterile fish (such as the donaldson at amador) these fish should do nothing but eat and get HUGE but there process only works for rainbows so the browns will deminish.

so the browns will deminish.

About a month ago they put the final load of browns into the CFFI hatchery pens.  They will no longer be planting browns ... so yeah, sadly they will.
