Clear Lake for cats and lmb sun 12/30

I finally am getting out on the water to fish again.  It has been since November 11th since I put a pole in the water.

Anyways, company welcome and any tips on the minnow fishing like hooks and weight are appreciated.  I was planning on launching out of Lakeport, but if there is a better spot please speak up.  I havnt caught a bass or catfish since I moved to California in '99 so I could use any help I can get.  Thanks.

Im not sure where Im staying yet, but anywhere from Ukiah to Lakeport.

Im leaving Humboldt now.  Monday will be a Timbercove trip.
