A few thoughts regarding GMS7:

Shelter Cove is the only place I have gone on a fishing trip where the fishing was at least as good as home!

I am so distracted, I do not know how I am getting through the rest of today, Mon and Tue at work.

Just a small fishing trip with about 200 friends.

After driving that far the wx has to really suck to not go out.  We proved that a couple of years ago.

Going to blow off fishing this Sat to get ready.  Sun is committed to building up WAF.  I can make up for Sat by thawing some Seabass.

Very very distracted by the prospects for next week.

Go Sharks and Warriors

Friday around midnight Stormsurf forecasts are out:  Swell looks sweet, wind doesn't...  My advice:  fish early, paddle upwind, prepare to get back to port vs being blown to Bear Harbor.

It's been my experience that the Cove can either be very protected from wind or blown out right to the beach.  We'll hope for the former.   :smt001

Woooooooooohooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!  The forecasts are looking favorable!!!!   :smt007

Bring your best - could be epic!   :smt001

Swell looks low.  Wind looks very manageable.  Where you see 14 knot gradient near shore south of Punta Gorda I would expect very light winds around the Cove until midday, and it could be flat and glassy through the day.  There's never guarantees, but this looks very good!  This is great news, but we'll see what may change over the coming days.

Looks to me like the swell will be great - it'll be flat alongshore - good ab diving conditions - hope for clear water.  The wind will likely be a factor, but the forecast could be way worse.  It's looking like we'll have some nice mornings and possibly light winds through the day.  Definitely doesn't look like it'll be blown out, and with the very low swell the wind waves are less dangerous.

It's getting close, and it's looking good.   :smt001

I simply cannot get enough of talking about fishing, reading about GS7, outfitting my kayak, and helpful tips. Everyone I've spoken to has been so helpful. One guy even volunteered to lend me a paddle and pfd yesterday because I didn't have any. I don't know this guy from Adam, yet he was willing to do that! That's the good stuff right there...I roll like that too! The enthusiasm here is so palpable. GS7 is looking awesome! I'm excited for all participants. Everything is so well organized. Eric, you gave me the kayak fishing bug three months ago, watching those YouTube videos of yours. I'm on fire and down for this endeavor 100%! I got my hands on a Eddyline Caribbean 12' couple weeks ago and in the process of getting outfitted. I hope to be year and GS8 and meet you, maybe even fish with you. My best to you all!  :smt006
