Ok here it goes.  Going out on a Cen Coast over night rock fish trip woke up early excited for what was about to be the biggest ling to date.  We got there before noon even tho the boat didn't leave till 3pm to insure we got bow like usual an to our surprise some one beat us.  The guy drove from Houston and forgot to change his watch so he beat us by 3 hours! What a nut got to talkin an ended up fishin side by side with the man.  We all load onto the boat for the ride to the first fishing grounds of the night weather pending an we make it with merly 20 mins or so of fishing time. We all scurry to our rods an i decide to drop a jig i made with a plaster mold in a darker pattern an as soon as i hit bottom I'm hooked up bring up a legal ling lookin to be about 24" an the deck hand cant see the hook of the gaff an hit it twice without sticking it an the ling dives an straitens my teaser hook. (note to self dont use 3in powerbait pre rigged swimbaits as teasers) Said a few choice words under my breath an he told me don't worry its good karma to let the first one swim back an went along his way. Dropped back down an as soon as i hit bottom gave it jig then bendo again pull it up call for a gaff an don't realise it but i just beat my pb ling with a 14# JackPot winner show off my fish as the captain calls it a night an claim my prize only a 150$ pot but it was my first jack pot....

Then comes day 2! im still amped from my first jackpot an pb ling on board tying my uncle an his gfs pb lings also all 3 of us landed a 14# ling this year so i was happy with the tie.  The ocean had other plans for me.  We start out fishing before sun rise an its hard to see anything so i go to the dark pattern jig i made again (with a new teaser) . I wasn't getting anything as people around me are plucking off decent reds around me figured my luck had work off. As the grey light started to show started picking off reds an thought maybe i still had a little luck left in this jig gave it a toss an i hear haullering in the back of the boat i think SoB! some one caught a monster as every one leaves me up in front by myself i keep fishing an all of a sudden i get hammered an cant get it off the bottom i got it up mid water an it took me back down like i was using a trout reel even tho i had 12# of drag set got it back up 2 more times an it shot back down deck hand sees me having trouble an said it looked like he better step away from the croud i ask him what every one was so excited for an he said a guy caught a solid 20# ling back there an he figured he had jackpot in the bag.  I replied with a dont be so sure about that if I get this hog an its not a shark he may be in for a disappointing day.  The deck hand continous to tell me no way any one is beating that guy again an again.  Then we get color an he says well ive been wrong before an i might be again i get it up an tell him to gaff it in the lip an when he swings it goes for another run an he sticks it in the heart i shout out a H3LL YEAH!!!! an draw the attention off the catch in the rear get back there an lay it next to his with an obvious size differenece get the pics of my new PB ling for the second time this trip.  Pulled out the scale an it wieghed in at a whopping 27lbs 8oz the captain came up to me shock my hand an told me thats the biggest ling he's had brought on his deck since he's taken over the boat. I was nervous all day even tho i had beat the first big ling the guy in the back had caught because he continued to pull in massive lings all day he by far out fished me i caught 9 legals on my home made jigs an he+his buddy caught 25 on bait.

Now the porn!
